Well, I'm sure you've read my email by now - our new forum was hi-jacked by some Chinese people. That's a classic statement right there...
But, its true. When you try to navigate to our new forum, it takes you to a Chinese page that is scripted to try really really hard to install some spyware to your machine.
At first, I was fuming. BUT, I've come to terms with it and its actually not that big of a deal. I really liked IPB - there's a lot more that can be done with it - but the only reason we went to the new board was because the old one was suffering a server upgrade for weeks.
Now the upgrade is done and the old forum is just as good as it ever was. Being that its a lesser known host of free forums - I think we'll be safe using it.
I've really been thinking about putting some money down for a paid-hosting option - which would eliminate all the problems and limitations that we've come across previously. I just have to bite down and make the jump :D
I did decide to keep the Blog running (not that I ever really started it, but that's beside the point). I've got two blogs running - one that will have all of my custom mods and hacks and this one -which covers topics about the forum - I will also post all of the interesting things that find their way to our forum on this blog.
