Google phone is coming...

Google is set to unveil its rival to iPhone, BlackBerry on Sept. 23. It will introduce the Google Phone, with Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile cellular carrier becoming the first company to market the handset, T-mobile said, according to press reports. The phone, to be based on Google's Android operating system and produced by Taiwan's High Tech Computer Corp.

Google is expected to discuss the phone's pricing and plans when it introduces the phone. The phone itself should be available to consumers next month.

I think this is being labeled all wrong by market analysts - its not the "Google Phone" per say - its just the first phone that will run the Google Android OS.

The company High Tech Computer Corp is indeed HTC. The same people that make some of the best phones for Sprint (Touch/Touch Diamond/Mogul)- amazing phones in their own respect.

This kind of spin will definitely fuel sales as a lot of people will think its Google's phone. The same can probably be said about Google's stock.

That being said - I'm definitely buying one.
