Coming To A City Near You...

New York's mayor Bloomberg is proposing wind turbines atop bridges and skyscrapers. He said he wants the city to start generating its own green power by using solar panels, river tides - and maybe even windmills atop the Brooklyn Bridge or the Empire State building.

Interesting idea, could we soon see wind mills atop the Sears tower, Golden Gate bridge, or other significant landmark or building? I doubt it, there are many other ways to harness energy power than cluttering the skylines of our country with windmills. Wind farms in the plains of Texas where few people live are fine, but not atop significant landmarks.

I agree - its nice that he's trying to go green, but not at the cost of landmarks... thats just stupid.

Might get away with solar panels on these buildings but not windmills hahaha
