Microsoft Hardware has an interesting teaser on their site, suggesting a mouse technology better than the current laser tech.
Engadget's commentors have done some investigating and dug up a mouse on Amazon.de featuring "blue track" technology. After some more investigation from Engadget's commentors, they've found out that the "blue track" tech is based on a blue LED and a wide angle lens that supposedly works on more surfaces than laser and optical.
